Define Your Perfect 10

Stop Living by Default.
Start Building by Design.

Stop settling for a default life.

Define the life. Set the standard. Carry the commitment.

Your life should not be shaped by old habits, outside expectations, or whatever happens to be easiest this week. The Perfect 10 Worksheet helps you define what peak fulfillment actually looks like for you, then turn that vision into clear milestones, daily standards, and visible commitments you can carry with you.

This is not just goal-setting. It's a personal blueprint for closing the gap between where you are and where you know you are capable of being. In seven focused steps, you will clarify your vision, raise your standards, choose the promises that matter, and create a physical reminder that keeps your future self in front of you every single day. No more vague dreams. No more default mode.

The Perfect 10 Action Plan

Define It. Own It. Become It.

Clear vision. Immediate momentum. Focused steps.

Work through the seven steps below in order. Each step builds on the one before it. Be honest, be specific, and resist the urge to skip ahead. When you finish, click Print / Save as PDF to keep a copy for your records or share it with someone who will hold you accountable.

01
Step 1
Declare the Goal
Write the thing you want to pursue, improve, build, or become. Keep it clear. Keep it honest.
A goal without a name has no power. Give it one.
My Goal
Why This Matters to Me
What Achieving This Would Change
What Staying Stuck Would Cost Me
Additional Notes / Thoughts
Keep it clear · Keep it honest · Keep it specific
02
Step 2
Clarify the Perfect 10 Vision
Visualize in detail the absolute best possible version of this area of your life.
Prompt questions to spark your thinking:
  • What would people notice about you?
  • What would you notice about yourself?
  • What would become easier?
  • What problems would disappear?
  • What opportunities would appear?
  • How would your mornings feel?
  • What emotions would be most common?
  • What would make you proud?

Step 3
Where Are You Right Now?
Assess your current position — not critically, not emotionally. Strategically.
My Number/ 10 On a scale of 1–10, where are you today?
1 — Just getting started10 — Already excellent

Step 4
Move One Notch Higher
Don’t focus on jumping from 4 to 10. High performers focus on the next notch only.
If you are a 4... what would a 5 look like? If you are a 7... what would an 8 require?

Step 5
Obstacles and the Recovery Plan
When things go wrong, you can give up — or you can have a plan.
You will face challenges. Having a plan to overcome them strengthens your path to success.

Step 6
Start the Motion Today
Momentum creates motivation far more often than motivation creates momentum.
Choose ONE action. Make it: Specific · Measurable · Realistic · Immediate

Perfect 10
A vivid picture of the best possible version of one area of your life. It is not perfection in every area — it is a clear, honest, motivating ideal in this one. You define it. No one else gets to.
Why This Matters
The deeper reason behind your goal. Motivation fades. Reasons hold. When you are tired, busy, or discouraged, the why is what keeps you moving.
The Next-Notch Strategy
Instead of trying to jump from where you are straight to a 10, focus only on the next number up. A 4 working toward a 5 builds momentum faster than a 4 chasing a 10 and failing repeatedly.
Mindset Shift
A change in the underlying belief or attitude that drives your behavior. Example: shifting from “I am bad with money” to “I am learning to handle money on purpose.”
Cash Flow Capture, Snowball, Avalanche
Three approaches we mention in our debt-paydown work. They do not apply here directly, but the principle is the same: pick one method, commit to it, and review your progress on a schedule.
Accountability Partner
A person you tell about your one action who will check in with you. The act of telling someone is one of the most reliable predictors of follow-through.
Recovery Plan
The plan you make in advance for what to do when you slip. Setbacks are normal. People who finish the journey are the ones who planned for setbacks before they hit.
One Action
A single, specific, measurable thing you can do in the next 24 hours. Not the whole plan. Just the first step. Small enough that success is nearly guaranteed.
Pocket Question
A short question you carry mentally and ask yourself whenever you have a decision to make. Ours is: “What would move me one notch closer to my Perfect 10 today?”
